Facilitated several large scale strategic planning and information systems resource planning projects for large private and public sector organizations including:  Grant MacEwan College, Government of Alberta, Syncrude, City of Edmonton, and the Capital Health Authority.

Assisted Indian and Northern Affairs Canada with a strategic and functional review of their information technology applications used to support land administration, mineral rights and geosciences.  Facilitated “AS-IS,” “TO-BE” and “Visioning” workshops; also examined end-user requirements and experiences.

Conducted a strategic planning/process improvement survey among 1,400 members of two City of Calgary Departments. Facilitated workshops to merge the two organizations.

Assisted the Northern Alberta Development Council in identifying local and regional aspirations, goals and priorities in order to identify realistic economic development opportunities to be pursued.  This major study covered all sectors, including the evaluation of numerous agribusiness opportunities in 22 different locations.

Assisted Alberta Learning with the re-design of their Performance Management training program.

Developed Marketing and Business Development programs for the Telus Centre for Professional Development at the University of Alberta.

For the Southern Rural Health Care Committee assisted in evaluating health care needs and delivery alternatives to provide for more cost effective health care services to about 12 communities in Southern Alberta.

Assisted the City of Calgary, Planning & Building Department with a needs and preferences assessment and concept design evaluation for the redevelopment of the Bow Valley Hospital lands in downtown Calgary.

Directed an in-depth market segmentation study of the electricity market in Calgary.  This project involved several cross-functional teams examining customer needs and then developing new products and services.

Assisted in the implementation of a Customer Satisfaction and Total Quality Initiative at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).  This project extended over several years and involved the facilitation of numerous planning and process improvement teams.

Conducted an in-depth evaluation of a rural economic development program funded by the Province of Alberta.  The assessment considered the economic development process used and the new forms of public and private investment generated.

For Alberta Agriculture, assessed the North American market for specialty game birds including pheasants, ducks and guinea fowl. 

Reviewed the corporate and marketing strategy of a mushroom growing cooperative. 

On behalf of the Food Processing Branch, Alberta Department of Agriculture, evaluated the "value-added" contribution of the various food processing industries to the Alberta economy.  The study identified access to markets and weak marketing programs as problematic areas. 

For a group of hog and beef producers, assessed the market opportunities and feasibility of re-opening a meat packing plant in Northern Alberta.  The study identified a small number of niche market opportunities. 

For an Alberta Task Force on International Business Education directed a survey of needs of Alberta's importers, exporters and various educational and other interest groups.

Directed a review of alternative funding sources for the Alberta Motion Picture Development Corporation.

Facilitated a series of workshops to assist Alberta based post secondary educational institutes in identifying cost reduction and re-engineering opportunities.

Conducted an intensive one day workshop to help a school board and all of its teachers understand and apply principles of Total Quality Management.

Participated in the development and administration of data collection tools to evaluate the numerous programs of a major provincial cancer program.  The results of the evaluation were used to assist in long range planning.

Assisted in the design and implementation of a project to improve client satisfaction for the Canada Western Diversification Office. 

For the Calgary and Edmonton Hospital Planning Councils, assessed demographic and hospital and nursing home utilization data to facilitate long term integrated planning for acute care, auxiliary care and nursing home institutions.  The study included a detailed review of population trends in each of the regions.

Designed and supervised a DELPH1 study examining the potential impact of a variety of alternative health care programs on hospital and nursing home bed requirements.
